Volunteers play an important role in our hospice program and at Inland valley hopice, we are always looking for volunteers who desire to join our team and use their special heart for caring.

Being a hospice volunteer provides an opertunity to touch lives. As a volunteer we are simply a friend to the patient. We are someone to listen to our patients thoughts. There are many locations throughout the Inland Empire, and the visiting hours are up to the volunteer.

  • Providing comfort to patient and families
  • Bereavement Services
  • College and High School Community Hour
  • Administrative Services (i.e, mailings, filing, etc.)
  • Crafts (i.e. Birthday Cards, Holiday Cards, ets.)
  • Christian Minister to read and pray with the patient
  • Eucharistic Minister (Provide communion, Pray the Rosary)
  • All Denominations are welcome
  • Knitting Ministry (Lap Blankets, booties, hats, scarves)
  • Volunteers who can sew are needed to make Memory Bears
  • There is also a need for bilingual volunteers to communicate and read in a language other than english.

We fully train all of our volunteers- Orientation is required- TB test is required- Criminal background check is required.
